The Importance of Setting Goals
Starting our fitness goals can be a daunting task especially if you are only starting out on your journey, or you may have achieved some of your goals and you need to set some more.
There is no shortage of benefits that come about as a result of setting fitness goals.
Having clearly defined fitness goals helps keep you on track and gives you something to work towards.
Not to mention the feelings of elation and joy that come about when you complete a fitness goal!
Lets Get Started
Immediate Goals
Immediate goals are just that, they can be started now!! Think today or this week.
If you are only starting out, your goal could be to set aside time for an activity every day or drink more water.
Short Term Goals
A short-term goal is a goal that is designed to be completed in a short period of time. Typically, short-term goals span a few days or a few weeks and never last longer than six months.
For your short term goal list you could, complete the LWL 14 day challenge, come along to a LWL fitness class or aim to workout three times a week.
Long Term Goals
Long term fitness goals should be specific to you and what you want to achieve. They are usually goals that are set 6 months, 12 months, or further into the future.
Your long term fitness goals could be centred around areas such as strength, flexibility and cardiovascular gains.
You should also look at improving heath with healthier diet and a healthier Lifestyle overall.
